Video: Lyon Sporting Director Considers Leonardo as One of His Role Models

During his interview with Top of the Foot, Olympique Lyonnais’ sporting director, Juninho, spoke about two of his role models on the sport’s management side, which included Paris Saint-Germain’s Leonardo.

The 45-year-old sees the PSG sporting director as a direct mentor. Juninho continues to add that whenever Leonardo speaks with the media, he listens.

Furthermore, with his counterpart in Paris being Brazilian, there’s some countryman admiration from the Lyon sporting director. Despite there being times where Leonardo has gone after his club in the media, there’s still respect.

“Honestly, I would say first that Leo is a role model. There is respect between us. I always try to watch when he talks. I see his way of manipulating things to learn too,” Juninho said. “It’s like Monchi in Seville, for whom I have a lot of admiration, although I never mentioned it. I watch what he says, what he does, and with others as well, whether in France or not.” The two men, in view of the rivalry PSG / OL, “do not speak often.”
