Report: PSG’s Projected Starting 11 for the Ligue 1 Home Fixture vs. Brest

Paris Saint-Germain will make its long-awaited return to the Parc des Princes up next, as it will take on Brest in Ligue 1 play.

PSG is just coming off of the 1-1 draw result against Olympique Lyonnais in league play. Now, the side sure will look to get back on track against Brest.

Even as multiple PSG players will be unavailable for this upcoming matchup, Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino still may roll out a keen starting 11 for it, as noted by TyC Sports.

Navas; Dagba, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mendes; Herrera, Paredes, Verratti; Di Maria, Icardi, Mbappe

Overall, Brazilian talent Marquinhos remains as PSG’s most reliable defender. The veteran defender has notched 15 appearances in Ligue 1 play so far this season, and he could be in line for another career match against Brest.

As of late, Pochettino has mixed up his midfield setups. It sure would not be a surprise to see Ander Herrera, Leandro Paredes and Marco Verratti go on to form the team’s midfield trio in a possible 4-3-3 setup.

As the likes of Lionel Messi (COVID-19 recovery) and Neymar (ankle injury) each will not be available against Brest, Pochettino could once again call upon Mauro Icardi to be a contributor in PSG’s attacking setup upfront.

PSG is aiming for its first league win in the calendar year.
