Newcastle United Reportedly Manuevering to Land PSG Outcast

Paris Saint-Germain has its share of players they want to offload, including Julian Draxler. The Germany international could be open to a move considering he wants to be part of the national team heading to the FIFA World Cup in November.

According to Le10Sport, Newcastle United is a club expressing interest in the 28-year-old as a Plan B option after failing to land Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Lucas Paquetá. The Magpies have contacted PSG to find out the terms of a transfer for Draxler.

The report adds that the current Ligue 1 champions want between €20 million and €30 million for the midfielder, which the Premier League side is willing to pay.

Draxler has two years left on his deal, and the French outlet states that discussions are underway with the player’s representatives to present the project and open potential negotiations.

After not being selected to partake in PSG’s Japan Tour, the message is clear, he has no future in the French capital and cannot close all the opportunities to leave if he wants to play in Qatar later this year.
