Report: Leicester City Rejects Chelsea Proposal for PSG Transfer Target

Paris Saint-Germain is attempting to find a central defender as their 2022-23 Ligue 1 season gets underway in a few days. The capital club is connected to Inter Milan’s Milan Škriniar, but PSG is also reportedly eyeing Wesley Fofana.

However, Leicester City isn’t allowing the 21-year-old to exit King Power Stadium for cheap. French publication L’Equipe (via Canal Supporters) reports that The Foxes rejected a €75 million offer from Chelsea.

The report adds that PSG and Manchester City remain on the lookout to pursue the France international, who is under contract with the English side until 2027. As a result, Leicester is in a position where they don’t need to sell.

Fofana could be looking for a club that will offer him UEFA Champions League and an opportunity to challenge for trophies. Furthermore, having a prominent role on one of Europe’s top squads might allow the young defender to solidify his position on the France national team.

Nonetheless, if PSG does indeed move on from Škriniar, the French giants might know now that it will take more than €75 million to secure the transfer for the center-back.
