Fabrizio Romano Confirms Manchester United, PSG Discussed Deal for €15M Talent

The summer transfer window has come and gone. Nonetheless, the stories of deals discussed or on the verge of occurring always tend to surface in the fall months, including Manchester United’s connection to Leandro Paredes.

On Saturday, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano discussed on his YouTube channel that Manchester United was offered 15 players as newly appointed manager Erik ten Hag shaped the squad into his vision.

Romano confirmed that among the players offered to the Red Devils was Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes in a crazy week for the Premier League club.

“More than 15 players were offered to Man United that week,” Romano stated.

“Memphis Depay on a free transfer, Moises Caicedo was a player considered for the midfield as Rabiot was not joining, Leandro Paredes was discussed by Man United and PSG. PSG were looking for a solution for Paredes, and Man United were looking for a different solution.”

Obviously, discussions didn’t proceed any further as Paredes ended up joining Juventus on a loan deal in the final hours of the summer transfer window closing.

Paredes will attempt to solidify himself as an undisputed starter in Turin. Perhaps a solid performance at the FIFA World Cup could result in the Italian club or another club purchasing the midfielder on a permanent deal next summer.
