Premier League: Nottingham Forest Reportedly Showing Most Interest In PSG’s €5M Talent

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas knows that being a starter with the capital club is out of the question. As a result, the three-time UEFA Champions League winner seeks a new club before the January transfer window closes.

Leicester City recently entered the race, joining Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth. Nonetheless, the Premier League clubs received a transfer boost as Mundo Deportivo’s Dani Gil reported on Saturday that Navas wants out of PSG.

Additionally, Gil notes that while Leicester and Bournemouth have shown interest, the team leading the charge to land Navas this month is Forest. When it comes to a transfer fee, Navas could leave Paris for less than €5 million.

Forest starting goalkeeper Dean Henderson recently suffered a thigh strain in their victory over Leicester City on Jan. 14. The 25-year-old is likely to be ruled out until late February.

With Forest attempting to stay out of the relegation zone, they need a goalkeeper they can trust to get them through this month while Henderson is out. Bringing in Navas this month could keep Forest in the Premier League for the 2023-24 season.

  1. An overrated acrobatic tumbler type keeper who won lots of silverware thanks to being part of top Real Madrid’s squad with three Ballon d’Or winners and Cristiano at the top of his game. He was signed only temporarily by club president Perez as a sub then scheduled for a prompt departure but thanks to a lucky break was able to stay when De Gea’s signing was thwarted by the last-minute fax fiasco. Shortly thereafter FIFA imposed a two-season signing ban on Real which allowed him to stay and become the club’s keeper, as Iker Casillas and Diego Lopez had recently left the club. Navas is too old and expensive with many shortcomings to consider: high ball game is poor, can’t play outside the box, weak hands can’t catch only punch or deflect. His passing game leaves much to be desired and foot play not very good either.

Not for naught he has consistently been excluded from World’s Best Keeper rankings by Four Four Two and others. Beware.. >

Keylor Navas only high-level action this term was during Costa Ricas World Cup campaign, when he played all three group games and was severely trounced 7-0 by Spain ending up as the most goals conceded keeper of the tournament.(11).and second most goals allowed of all World Cup competition with 18 tallies against.. When he is between the sticks of an an inferior team he doesn’t do that well, wouldn’t you say..?.
