Report: Tottenham, Manchester United ‘Never Close’ as PSG Lands Inter Milan

Paris Saint-Germain appears to have landed their central defender that will anchor their backline for the foreseeable future. The capital club reportedly can count on having Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar on their squad next season.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Saturday that the 27-year-old center-back can be considered new PSG player starting from July 2023 on free deal. However, the transfer window specialist also notes that the French giants will try to sign the defender this January.

Romano also noted that Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United were not close to prying the Slovakian from PSG amid rumors.

As PSG pushes for a transfer before this window closes, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Saturday that the Ligue 1 side has sent a first offer to Inter Milan in the last hours.

Nonetheless, the Serie A side has rejected the offer, considering it too low. This opening bid was around €10 million, but Inter Milan wants PSG to double that amount to complete Skriniar’s move in January.

It will be interesting to see how these last days of the window transpire and whether the capital club can get their defender sooner than they expect.
