Serie A: Report Reveals PSG’s Plan to Pursue Inter Milan’s Prized Defender As Transfer Deadline Looms

Paris Saint-Germain has been linked to Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar. Recent reports would reveal that the Serie A squad is open to letting the 27-year-old leave this January transfer window.

While it would benefit the French giants to land the Slovakian defender this month ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash, it appears sporting advisor Luis Campos wants to play the waiting game.

CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs reported on Thursday, citing sources, that PSG aims to get Skriniar on a free in the summer. Additionally, Jacobs reveals that the capital club downplays the idea of a January transfer unless the price drops significantly in the next few days.

There’s an outside chance that Skriniar will arrive in the next few days, but it’s more than likely that PSG will roll out Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe and Sergio Ramos when they face Bayern Munich on Feb. 14. for the first leg.

If the reigning Ligue 1 champions fail to win everything, there will be many pointing to waiting to grab Skriniar in the summer rather than this month to help the squad for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.
