Galtier Reveals PSG’s Mindset for the Ligue 1 Away Showdown Against Marseille

Paris Saint-Germain will have another crucial test in Ligue 1 coming up, as it will square off with Olympique de Marseille on matchday 25.

PSG last met Marseille earlier this month in the Coupe de France round of 16. In the end, Marseille put an end to PSG’s hopes of a possible treble-winning campaign, securing a 2-1 win to advance to the quarterfinals of the competition.

From PSG manager Christophe Galtier’s standpoint, as he touched on during his pre-match press conference on Friday, he is not eyeing revenge for this edition of Le Classique.

“There is no revenge,” Galtier said. “As far as I’m concerned, we have to prepare the team as well as possible. … We will have to do the opposite of what we did in the French Cup.

“With the presence of Kylian, there will be depth, but he should not be the only one.”

Kylian Mbappe did not play in PSG’s Coupe de France matchup against Marseille due to a thigh injury. He has since recovered from the ailment, and he is expected to make PSG’s starting 11 for Ligue 1 matchday 25.

PSG will look to open up an eight-point lead over Marseille in the Ligue 1 standings.
