Arsenal Joins PSG By Having Dominate Attacking Trio, Stat Shows

Paris Saint-Germain is licking their wounds after their latest UEFA Champions League Round of 16, but the French giants did bounce back for a 2-1 victory against Stade Brestois on Saturday at Stade Francis Le Blé.

The capital club continued to hold onto Ligue 1, which can be credited to the offensive output provided by Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr. However, this trio recently had some company join them as one of the top offensive units in European football.

OptaJoe pointed out on Twitter that Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are the only teams in Europe’s top 10 leagues with three players on 10-plus league goals this 2022-23 season.

Arsenal is heading toward at least clinching a Champions League spot for next season, but they are also leading the Premier League with a current five-point lead on Manchester City.

PSG’s trio might be splitting up after this season as Messi’s contract expires in June and rumors suggest they’d be open to a Neymar exit should a club be interested.

As a result, the two clubs’ supporters might have different perspectives on how they feel about their attacking trio.
