PSG’s Projected Starting 11 vs. Brest – Will Mbappe Start?

On the heels of its UEFA Champions League round of 16 elimination against Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain will return to Ligue 1 play with an away matchup against Brest on Saturday.

Bayern Munich secured a 2-0 win over PSG on Wednesday to clinch a spot in the Champions League quarterfinal round. PSG failed to log multiple high-percentage goal-scoring chances in the match, as it instead watched as the reigning Bundesliga champions scored two goals to notch a 3-0 aggregate win.

PSG will now have to shift gears to its upcoming league encounter against Brest, and manager Christophe Galtier could roll out this starting 11 for the fixture.

Donnarumma; Danilo, Ramos, Bitshiabu; Pembele, Ruiz, Verratti, Sanches, Mendes; Messi, Mbappe

Danilo Pereira put together one of the most potent performances of his PSG career against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, as he recorded seven clearances and five tackles in the contest. He should be called on to help lead PSG’s backline against Brest.

Galtier should also pencil in Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi to start against Brest. PSG sure could use world-class performances from the two forwards on Ligue 1 matchday 27.

PSG has won 12 straight matches against Brest in all competitions.
