Report: Luis Campos Open to Replacing Galtier With This Former Champions League-Winning Manager

Christophe Galtier’s hot seat has been growing warmer by the week. Paris Saint-Germain crashed out of the UEFA Champions League competition earlier this month, and its Ligue 1 lead was cut to seven points following its loss to Rennes and Olympique de Marseille’s victory over Reims on matchday 28.

PSG football advisor Luis Campos is reportedly open to the idea of replacing Galtier with AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho, according to Portuguese journalist Pedro Almeida. Mourinho, who is reportedly Campos’ “main objective,” is “seen” as a manager who can lead PSG to its first Champions League title in club history.

Mourinho was linked with PSG last summer, but in the end, he wound up staying put at AS Roma following the Serie A side’s UEFA Europa Conference League-winning campaign. The two-time Champions League-winning manager’s contract at AS Roma will expire next year.

Mourinho currently has AS Roma in fifth place in the Serie A standings with 47 points through 27 matches played, and the Italian side is in the quarterfinal round of the UEFA Europa League competition.

PSG has been linked with several other managers as of late as possible replacements for Galtier, including Thomas Tuchel.
