Transfer News: Frankfurt Eyes Club Record Fee for Liverpool, PSG Target

After the latest UEFA Champions League Round of 16 exit by Paris Saint-Germain, sporting advisor Luis Campos will need to do some heavy lifting this summer transfer window to construct a squad that can deep in the tournament.

With Lionel Messi possibly leaving in June when his contract expires and Neymar Jr. coming off a serious ankle injury, the club chief must revamp the forward group and build it around Kylian Mbappé.

France Football (h/t Paris Fans) recently reported, citing sources, Eintracht Frankfurt is open to selling PSG target Randal Kolo Muani; however, the German club wants to set a new sales record.

Frankfurt sold forward Luka Jović to Real Madrid for €60 million in 2019, so the German club doesn’t want to take a euro less than what they’re demanding. The Bundesliga side does hold all the negotiating power since the 24-year-old is under contract until 2027.

PSG isn’t alone in their interest in Kolo Muani, as Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on the 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist.

It will be interesting to see if any of these clubs will pay the price to land the forward who has scored 16 goals and recorded 14 assists in all competitions so far this 2022-23 season.
