Ex-Barcelona Teammate Reveals Where Messi Should Play Next Season

The Lionel Messi future talk continues as the Argentine will see his contract with the French giants expires in June. As a result, there’s plenty of speculation about where the 35-year-old will play for the 2023-24 season.

Whis pending free agency, Prime Video analyst Thierry Henry discussed the future of the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner and shared what he should do this summer.

“I would like to see him finish his career at Barca,” Henry said (h/t RMC Sport). “The way he left this club, I didn’t like it too much. I don’t I’m not saying he has to go or not go. There are people up there to handle that.”

Messi is disconnected from PSG supporters, considering they have booed him and the most recent booing coming before their contest against Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday night at the Parc des Princes.

It would be best for both sides to part ways this summer, allowing PSG to move in a different direction. Using the wages that Messi demands, the Ligue 1 side can add two or three players depending on the cost.

The 2022-23 season has shown that the capital club doesn’t have the depth to withstand injuries to marquee players to compete in the Coupe de France, Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League.
