La Liga President Javier Tebas Discusses Nonexistent Relationship With PSG’s Nasser Al-Khelaifi

La Liga president Javier Tebas never misses an opportunity to trash Paris Saint-Germain. The 60-year-old spoke on RMC Sport and discussed his rocky relationship with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Tebas noted that the two men are not the best of friends as he often criticizes the capital club for screwing up football from the financial side. The league executive stated that he and Al-Khelaifi are on different aisles regarding what’s best for the sport.

“If by relationship you mean going for a Coke or a coffee together, no, it’s not our relationship,” Tebas told the French media outlet.

“We meet through organizations or international meetings … He doesn’t; there is no more than that as a relationship. The model he wants for European football is very different from the one that I defend. And that the majority of Spanish clubs defend. And among these clubs, I include Real and Madrid. Barca.”

For as long as Tebas leads La Liga, he will always bad mouth when the opportunity presents itself and it might be away, considering Qatar Sports Investment isn’t keen on selling PSG anytime soon.

Additionally, QSI might be looking into buying a stake in Spanish football with Málaga CF, currently in the second division. If PSG’s owners reportedly invest in this club, it will present more chances for Al-Khelaifi and Tebas to have “friendly” discussions about football.
