Report: PSG’s Projected Starting 11 vs. OGC Nice – Who Will Replace Verratti?

On the heels of back-to-back Ligue 1 defeats, Paris Saint-Germain will look to get back on the right track in its upcoming away fixture against OGC Nice.

PSG did not have much to go its way in its loss to Olympique Lyonnais on Ligue 1 matchday 29. PSG created multiple high-percentage goal-scoring chances during the contest, but the reigning Ligue 1 champions ultimately failed to break down Lyon’s deep low block.

As noted by TyC Sports, PSG manager Christophe Galtier could call on these 11 players to start against OGC Nice on Saturday.

Donnarumma; Pereira, Marquinhos, Bitshiabu; Hakimi, Vitinha, Zaire-Emery, Mendes; Sanches; Messi, Ekitike

PSG has officially ruled out midfielder Marco Verratti against OGC Nice due to a muscle injury. Galtier could call on Vitinha and Warren Zaire-Emery to form PSG’s double-pivot duo in its possible 3-4-1-2 formation on Ligue 1 matchday 30.

Galtier noted during a pre-match press conference on Friday that Mbappe is dealing with a slight hip discomfort ailment. Mbappe was included in PSG’s squad list for Ligue 1 matchday 30, but Galtier could elect to have Hugo Ekitike start the match while the star forward opens up the contest on the bench.

PSG has come away with just one win from its last four meetings against OGC Nice in all competitions.
