Transfer Fund Increase? Report Reveals How Much PSG Might Spend This Summer

Paris Saint-Germain has been a big spender since the arrival of Qatar Sports Investments in 2011. However, the capital club has had to step back from splashing the cash over the past few years.

Nonetheless, this summer transfer window could see PSG return to spend at least some significant money. GOAL France reported (h/t Paris Fans) on Monday that sporting advisor Luis Campos would be significantly higher than €80 million in transfer funds to improve the squad.

The French media outlet notes that the administrative services of the capital club gave him directives and several scenarios concerning the expenses that could be incurred, including one considering the presence of its three stars, Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé for next season.

According to PSG’s forecasts, the Ligue 1 giants will declare a turnover of more than €800 million, boosted by an increase in the ticketing (close to €150 million) and merchandising (€400 million) sectors compared to the previous financial year.

Paris owes its salvation, above all, to the payment of the first draft of the CVC (*), which will bring in nearly 200 million euros over three years. This positive economic result will automatically increase the payroll from 111 to 90 percent of its turnover.
