Bayern Munich’s Tuchel Refuses to Budge on Star Defender Transfer Talks with PSG – Report

Paris Saint-Germain is looking for a left-foot center-back this summer transfer window. The capital club has zeroed in on Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez to fill the role.

Presnel Kimpembe will be out to start the 2023-24 season and must cover the position as he recovers from his Achilles injury. As a result, PSG is reportedly doing everything possible to land Hernandez.

According to reports, The French giants have disrupted the extension talks between Hernandez and Bayern Munich. Even with this, manager Thomas Tuchel isn’t keen on losing his player.

Foot Mercato reported on Tuesday that the new Bayern Munich management team will try to influence the fate of the Frenchman, whom Tuchel is doing everything to retain.

Nevertheless, the French media outlet does note that, for the moment, PSG has taken the lead in the player’s mind.

Hernandez’s contract expires in 2024, so the capital club will need to agree to a fee, but it will be in the hands of Bayern Munich of they want to recoup a sum or continue to attempt for an extension.

For PSG, the 27-year-old would strengthen a defense lacking solutions this season, with a view to a new 3-5-2, and potentially cover a departure from Presnel Kimpembe, whose contract also expires in 2024.
