Donnarumma shares just what has annoyed him about second season at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain picked up a crucial away win over Auxerre on Ligue 1 matchday 36, but the reigning France top-flight champions once again failed to notch a clean sheet in the second half of the season.

PSG built an early 2-0 lead in the contest thanks to back-to-back goals from Kylian Mbappe. Lassine Sinayoko got Auxerre on the scoreboard after he scored a goal in the early stages of the second half, although PSG would hold on to clinch a 2-1 win in the match.

Overall, PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has logged 13 clean sheets in 36 league starts in the ongoing campaign. PSG has allowed 36 goals in league play this season, which is the third-fewest among teams in the top half of the Ligue 1 table.

Donnarumma sees that PSG simply must work to “avoid” allowing “so many goals.”

“Yes, it was very difficult tonight,” Donnarumma told Prime Video Sport France after the match. “We are taking too many goals, it annoys me. We have to change that.

“We were brave to keep that 2-1 lead on the road. But we have to avoid taking so many goals.”

PSG will now look ahead to a Ligue 1 home fixture against Strasbourg coming up on matchday 37.
