Paris Saint-Germain will be in the market for a striker this summer and the constant name that continues to be in the rumor mill is Napoli goal scorer Victor Osimhen.
The capital club will likely see the exit of Lionel Messi, whose contract expires on June 30 and Neymar Jr. has an uncertain future, so sporting advisor Luis Campos needs to replace their production.
RMC Sport reported (h/t Paris Fans) on Thursday Campos has put the 24-year-old striker as his priority. Discussions continue between Campos and Osimhen’s agent, who know each other well.
However, the potential transfer is no less complex. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis would like to recover €150 million. The reigning French champions would be ready to put €100 million on the table to pass Manchester United.
While Osimhen isn’t closing the door on returning to Ligue 1, the possibility of playing in the Premier League could tip the scale in the Red Devil’s favor or any English club looking to land the recent Serie A champion.
Osimhen has appeared in 36 matches in all competitions for Napoli, where he’s scored 28 goals and registered five assists.
