Video: Fabian’s Goal Puts PSG Back In Control Against Troyes

Paris Saint-Germain was in control against ES Troyes AC at the Stade de l’Aube, until a glancing header from Xavier Chavalerin put the hosts within one goal of securing a draw.

Thankfully, Christophe Galtier’s side was able to quiet the Troyes momentum just three minutes after Chavalerin’s goal.

After a Troyes turnover in their own end, Renato Sanches was able to pick out a pass for Kylian Mbappé in front of goal. The Frenchman’s shot was saved, but the rebound went to Fabián Ruiz at the edge of the box. The former Napoli man blasted a shot from distance that hit the goalpost and went in.

It was Fabian’s second Ligue 1 goal of the season, much like Vitinha early in the match, and silenced the Troyes crowd who were attempting to cheer their team to an equalizer.

Overall, PSG has played well against Troyes without the suspended Lionel Messi and injured Neymar Jr. With four matches left, the capital club is well on its way to its eleventh Ligue 1 title in club history.
