Why PSG Should Seriously Consider Signing This Bundesliga Star

Barring a major surprise, Paris Saint-Germain will end up signing a true center forward during this year’s summer transfer window. PSG has been linked with multiple notable forwards as of late, from Napoli star Victor Osimhen to Eintracht Frankfurt standout Randal Kolo Muani.

It may be a long shot for PSG to sign Osimhen. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently noted that he does not plan to sell the Nigerian international during this year’s summer transfer window. Moreover, the versatile forward has a reported €150 million price tag, and one could win big with pokies nz.

If PSG decides not to break the bank to bring in Osimhen, then the club must turn its attention to Kolo Muani — a player who is reportedly “very appreciated internally.”

PSG has reportedly already touched base with Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche to express interest in the club’s all-around goal-scorer in Kolo Muani, who has also been linked with Bayern Munich.

As with Osimhen, PSG would have to shell out a hefty transfer fee in order to acquire Kolo Muani. Krösche is reportedly seeking at least €100 million in any transfer deal involving the former Nantes forward.

Nonetheless, Kolo Muani is a player who can add another dimension to PSG’s attack.

PSG is reportedly on the lookout for a true center forward to have such a player tag along with Kylian Mbappe in a two-striker formation. Kolo Muani sure would fit such a profile for the reigning Ligue 1 champions. From his keen off-ball movement to his unselfish play in the attacking third, he has showcased in his ongoing debut campaign in the Bundesliga that he is far from a one-dimensional forward.

There are many former PSG players who would like to see the current Ligue 1 leaders haul in Kolo Muani, including former French forward Jerome Rothen.

“You have to jump on the opportunity when you have the opportunity to bring back an excellent young player, and still he is not that young at 24 years old, but he starts his career at a very high level, he is a French international,” Rothen said during an April airing of his “Rothen s’enflamme” program on RMC Sport.

“He was born in the Paris region, there are connections that are necessarily made with the headliner, Kylian Mbappe.”

With Lionel Messi set to hit free agency after this season, PSG can not afford to enter the 2023-2024 campaign without having found a replacement for the Argentine forward. It would take much for PSG football advisor Luis Campos to bring Kolo Muani back to Ligue 1, but it sure would be worth it in the end.
