La Liga Throws a Wrench in Barcelona’s Plans to Bring Back Messi – Report

La Liga continues to have FC Barcelona wait on whether they’ll green-light their financial package. Well, they might have to stay on standby as the league continues to delay their decision over the situation.

Relevo’s Toni Juanmartí reported on Thursday that Barcelona does not contemplate that the green light from La Liga to the feasibility plan will come soon.

The pressure that Lionel Messi is receiving has meant that the Argentine, for now, has decided to freeze his decision regarding his free agency as his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires on June 30.

Juanmartí noted that they’d consider the Argentine’s return a done deal at Barcelona. However, now that La Liga continues to delay their decision, now a return is up in the air.

SPORT recently published the percentages of which time has the best chance to land the veteran. The Spanish media outlet noted that Messi will likely head outside Europe with Al-Hilal and Inter Miami keen on landing the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner this summer.

It will be interesting to see whether or not Messi will continue to wait on his decision as the summer transfer window opens in a few weeks.
