Liverpool Reportedly Not Readying Jaw-Dropping Bid for PSG Superstar

Kylian Mbappé has made it clear that he will not opt into the third year of his current contract at Paris Saint-Germain, leaving his future very much up in the air.

Real Madrid is thought to be the leader in signing the PSG superstar if the club agrees to sell this summer, but Liverpool FC has also been linked with Mbappé in the past.

Unfortunately for Liverpool fans, it doesn’t appear as though Mbappé will be coming to Merseyside any time soon. According to CBS Sports Golazo reporter and CaughtOffside columnist Ben Jacobs, “Liverpool are not readying a €300 million bid for Mbappé, contrary to some reports. Any approach for Mbappé is downplayed by those close to the club.”

A bid of that size never made sense for rational football fans. While Liverpool is one of the top clubs in the Premier League, a disappointing season means they can’t offer Mbappé UEFA Champions League football.

In the past, Mbappé has flirted with Liverpool, saying he plays with the team on the FIFA video game, and his mother is rumored to be a fan of The Reds.

For now, Mbappé remains at Paris Saint-Germain, and the club executives must decide whether to sell now and receive a hefty transfer fee, or, keep him for one more season and risk losing him on a free transfer. With rumors swirling out of control, PSG fans hope to have an answer sooner rather than later.
