Neymar, Christophe Galtier Spark Summer Buzz in Saudi Arabia – Report

Saudi Arabia is plucking a lot of talent this summer transfer window. From players in their prime to those in the twilight of their careers. However, the clubs in that country have yet to add that one marquee player. Still, a move for Neymar Jr. could come potentially.

TuttoMercatoWeb journalist Marco Conterio reported on Sunday that Al-Hilal would recircle its interest in Neymar, who has a contract until 2025. The Italian journalist notes that the Saudi Arabian is prepared to offer a substantial sum.

Conterio doesn’t reveal the fee that Al-Hilal is willing to offer. Nonetheless, they could be looking for a star player after missing out on signing Lionel Messi. The Argentine is heading to MLS’ Intern Miami on July 1.

However, with the potential hiring of Spanish manager Luis Enrique, it will be interesting to see if the 53-year-old green lights a departure. Enrique had Neymar while at FC Barcelona, where the two helped the Catalan side win the 2015 UEFA Champions League Final.

A report would suggest that Enrique wouldn’t favor a Neymar exit, so the Brazilian could stay unless Al-Hilal’s offer is too lucrative to pass.

Christophe Galtier to coach in Saudi Arabia?

Soon-to-be former Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier might also be heading to Saudi Arabia. The French tactician could be coaching against Neymar should his ex-player arrive there.

Foot Mercato reported on Sunday that first contacts have started between Al Shabab and Galtier. The 56-year-old was rumored to be in on the Napoli job, but it went to Rudi Garcia.

As a result, Galiter has to look for another job. Al Shabab is looking for a new coach for next season. The potential gaffer will manage a squad that includes former Parisian Grzegorz Krychowiak and former Sevilla midfielder Éver Banega.

After an exhausting season with PSG, Galtier could go to a more exotic destination, out of sight, and thus breathe a little with the media machine in Paris.
