What Could Prevent Kylian Mbappé from Joining Real Madrid Next Summer? – Report

Real Madrid wants Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé. The Spanish club will jump on the winger, who can become a free agent after this 2023–24 season. However, there might be one circumstance in which the Frenchman might not head to Spain.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti will leave Los Blancos after this campaign and take the reigns as the Brazil national team boss. As a result, the La Liga side will be in the market for a new leader on the sidelines.

Former Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso is one of the rumored names being floated as a replacement. However, if the current Bayer Leverkusen manager decides to head to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Defensa Central reports that he might not see Mbappé as a Plan A striker.

According to the Spanish outlet, Victor Boniface would be the ideal candidate for Alonso to fill the No. 9 spot. Whether the information is accurate, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner doesn’t want to play the striker position.

PSG has finally put him out on the wing and brought in two strikers this past summer to take those responsibilities from Mbappé. Real Madrid already has Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior out wide. So, one of those two will need to ride the bench or move on to make room for the PSG star.

Will all this happen? As we know, this saga is a rollercoaster, and anything is possible.
