Zaïre-Emery and Xavi Simons Join Arsenal, Barcelona Star in UEFA Champions League Team of the Week

The future is bright at Paris Saint-Germain, as this UEFA Champions League Matchday 3 showed. Warren Zaïre-Emery and Xavi Simons were part of the Team of the Week for this week’s performances.

PSG’s two youngsters join the likes of Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus, Manchester United’s André Onana and Harry Maguire, and FC Barcelona’s Fermín López.

Zaïre-Emery had two assists in PSG’s 3-0 win over AC Milan at the Parc des Princes. The Frenchman had a hand in the opening goal scored by Kylian Mbappé and then the third goal courtesy of Kang-in Lee.

Meanwhile, the PSG loanee scored one goal and recorded one assist in RB Leipzig’s 3-1 win over Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday at Red Bull Arena. These two players have a bright future, but they’re not waiting around to make an impact.

Furthermore, PSG supporters are salivating over having these two young players in their starting 11 next season. It will be interesting to see how manager Luis Enrique implements these two players into the squad. Still, it will be fun to watch these two play together during the 2024-25 season.
