Ex-Barcelona Teammate Spills Impressive Traits on Arnau Ténas

Arnau Ténas made seven decisive saves to deliver a clean sheet, and 10-man PSG won at Le Havre 2-0 last Sunday. However, the next question is whether the 22-year-old can take the job from Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Despite not preparing to be the starter, he impressed in his outing after the Italian received a red card less than 10 minutes into the game. Le Parisien recently spoke with people who interacted with him during his time at FC Barcelona.

One former teammate with the Catalan side revealed the young shot-stopper’s characteristics.

“He’s a great leader in the dressing room,” the former Barcelona teammate said. “On the pitch, he stood out for his responsiveness and his great vision of the game. You could think of him as an 11th outfield player, given his level on the ball.”

It will be interesting to see what manager Luis Enrique decides to do and whether Ténas starts against Borussia Dortmund next week, considering what’s at stake for the Ligue 1 side.

Many will question if Donnarumma should play in a must-win match against FC Nantes if he performs well, having already played almost two games. It’s a tough decision for the Spanish manager due to the recent mental mishaps the Italian has had.
