How PSG’s Nasser Al-Khelaïfi Reacted to Draw Against Newcastle

Paris Saint-Germain’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, returned to Parc des Princes after missing six matches to watch the UEFA Champions League game against Newcastle United.

Al-Khelaïfi is coming off a knee injury, and while his injury did not allow him the most fluid mobility, he could still join the Parisian locker room after the match. Afterward, the club chief provided words of encouragement to the squad.

The Ligue 1 side barely got out with a draw thanks to what some dub a controversial penalty call. Nonetheless, Al-Khelaïfi probably knows he has to lift the spirits, knowing it’s a must-win match against Borussia Dortmund.

“In front of the group, he had words of encouragement, in particular towards the young elements of the squad,” Le Parisien wrote about Al-Khelaïfi’s presence in the locker room.

PSG has yet to win on the road in this Champions League group stage, with losses at St. James’ Park and San Siro. Still, it’s now or never for the Parisians to punch their ticket to the knockout stage.

It will be interesting to see if the attack can figure Borussia Dortmund out and secure their first Champions League group stage road win.
