Report: Milan Škriniar Will Be Absent from PSG for Real Sociedad Tie

Paris Saint-Germain winning the 2023 Trophée des Champions on Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes came at a cost. Milan Škriniar suffered an ankle injury and will be out long-term.

L’Equipe reports Škriniar has been sidelined for the entirety of the Champions League Round of 16 matches against Real Sociedad.

Additionally, the French media outlet notes that the Slovakian player is confirmed to be unavailable for several weeks. Further tests will be conducted to ascertain the precise duration of his absence.

There is a possibility that he may require ankle surgery. As a result, RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins shared his information regarding the veteran defender, noting that Škriniar’s season could be over or, at the very least, months instead of weeks, and there’s a chance he may require surgery on his ankle.

PSG did bring Lucas Beraldo, who made his debut in the win over Toulouse. However, if Škriniar is gone for months, the Ligue 1 side will need to find another center-back to help replace the former Inter Milan star.
