Revealed: Brentford Enters Race for Last-Minute Transfer of PSG Outcast

There are a few hours left until the January transfer window closes, and all eyes are on Hugo Ekitike. Paris Saint-Germain wants to offload the player, and one last-minute guest is vying for the Frenchman.

Despite not playing so far this 2023-24 season, Ekitike has several suitors, including in the Premier League. The latest team vying for the 21-year-old is English and likely views him as a piece to bolster their attack.

According to L’Equipe (h/t Le10Sport), three clubs are still in the running to complete the transfer of the former Stade de Reims player. First, Eintracht Frankfurt would still like to offer the services of No. 44 from PSG despite his refusal to sign last summer.

Moreover, the Germans continued to negotiate with the capital club in recent hours. Wolfsburg would not have given up on landing Ekitike. Finally, Brentford has reportedly entered the race for the French striker’s signature.

Despite everything, Frankfurt would not have to worry since it would still be in a pole position on this issue, having Ekitike’s preference.
