Barcelona Firm on Retaining PSG Target and Eye Extension, Fabrizio Romano Says

Paris Saint-Germain will have to put a plan in place to replace Kylian Mbappé’s production. While many expect the capital club to be in the attacking market this summer, the Parisians might play the waiting game.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently stated that no key players for their team will be on the move this summer. Furthermore, he has rejected a €200 million offer for their homegrown player, Lamine Yamal.

Nonetheless, if PSG wants Yamal, the capital club might be ready to play the long game. If the Spanish club doesn’t want their offer, they can wait to see if he leaves once his contract expires in 2026. According to transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano, PSG have inquired about Yamal despite there being no confirmation or offer.

Barça are not looking to sell and they are sure to renew his contract when he turns 18. The Catalan side have good relations with his entourage and will provide a good offer.

A lot can happen in two years, but if Yamal is without a new contract when 2026 nears, it will be interesting to see if the Parisians make an aggressive move for the winger.
