Juventus Sensation Hails PSG Newcomer for Outstanding Performance with Brazil

Lucas Beraldo has made the transition from Brazilian to European football look easy. The 20-year-old joined Paris Saint-Germain during the January transfer window and has become a pivotal player on defense.

During this FIFA international window, Beraldo plays for the Brazilian national team for the first time in his young career. It’s the first time veteran players on the Seleção get a glimpse of the center-back.

Juventus defender Danilo spoke about how he sees Beraldo with the national team, and the veteran has high praise for the PSG standout.

“It was easy and incredible,” Danilo told TV Globo (h/t Le10Sport). “It looked like all the boys, including Beraldo, had been on the Brazilian national team for 10 years. The national team can rest easy because it has defenders for years to come.”

PSG will face Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. If the Parisians aim to advance, they’ll need Beraldo to play a part in the backline, helping keep the Spanish squad’s attack quiet.

If the Brazilian can play as he did in the second leg against Real Sociedad in the Round of 16, the French giants have a good chance of advancing and are close to reaching the final in London.
