PSG Sensation Brings ‘Something Different’ After Moving from Barcelona to Paris

Ousmane Dembélé left FC Barcelona last summer and has found his place with Paris Saint-Germain under manager Luis Enrique. The Frenchman might not be scoring goals, but he’s taken over the creator role that was vacant after the exits of Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr.

After the 26-year-old endured health issues while with Barcelona, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has remained injury-free so far this season. PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz spoke with the media and noted how Dembélé has adjusted to the Parisians with such ease.

“Since Ous arrived, he has become an important player for us,” Ruiz said (h/t Paris Fans). “He brings something different to the team. We know he’s a great player; his speed and ability with both feet make him stand out, and for us, he’s a crucial player.

“Personally, I get along very well with him. He sits next to me in the locker room, and he’s a very calm and down-to-earth guy. We’re happy to have him with us because he helps us a lot.”

Dembélé will have a chance to make his former team pay when PSG and Barcelona clash in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. The winger can play a pivotal role in helping the Parisians punch their ticket to the semifinals.

While Kylian Mbappé is a player that the Catalan side has to contain, they cannot forget about Dembélé because he can create chances for his other teammates, as he’s shown this season.
