Barcelona’s Experienced Goal Scorer Admits It Would Be ‘Special’ to Play Alongside PSG Sensation

Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski recently had a chat with Le Parisien, where they discussed a range of topics. Given that it’s a French media outlet, it’s no surprise that some of the conversation revolved around Paris Saint-Germain.

One interesting point was Lewandowski’s thoughts on PSG’s star player, Kylian Mbappé. The veteran goal-scorer notes he would like to play with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, although right now, that seems unlikely.

“Have you ever dreamed of an association with Kylian Mbappé? That was the topic of our conversations, of course (he laughs),” Lewandowski told the French outlet (h/t Le10Sport).

“He’s 25 years old, 11 years younger than me, so he has his whole life ahead of him. But I know that if one day I play with him, it will be something special—easy for him and easy for me.”

Even though these two players are unlikely to be teammates, they will be opponents. Many expect the Frenchman to join Real Madrid when his contract with the capital club expires in June.

If he does head to the Spanish capital, these two will be rivals for the 2024-25 campaign. Although the Polish goal scorer noted that there’s an excellent relationship with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, that might be tested due to their frequent clashes in La Liga starting next season.
